Soul Eater Manga Ending Vs Anime Ending
The most appealing thing about soul eater for me is the art style.
Soul eater manga ending vs anime ending. Mosquito wasn t defeated in that arc like the anime says. Then by 36 it completely changes. The manga deviates from the battle of brew. The events of the manga change in comparison to the anime.
Brotherhood s ending is very much like the manga ending which ended about a month or so before the anime ended. Sure it wasn t what the audience expected and it wasn t flawless but it was a powerful moment all the same. Some events from the anime still happened such as dwma and arachnophobia losing brew and black star fighting kid. Ohkubo has a very distinct look to his manga and to see it in motion in the anime is really incredible.
Usually if an anime premieres without the manga being complete you will have filler filler filler just look at naruto one piece and bleach though the anime of bleach ended i m sure the anime will pick back up once the manga is complete or at least near completion. That said some battles were cooler in the soul eater anime and you can really tell they spent a lot on the production values e g. 5 times black star was awesome and 5 times he let fans down there were things the anime did right and things it could have done better. Though by the same token i ve heard the manga s kind of a mixed bag after the point they split off too and it also has a bit of an abrupt wtf ending except it s more goofy and not meant to be taken as seriously as the anime ending i guess well the other soul eater manga is still going so it probably wasn t the final ending.
This ending in the anime has never happened. In the anime justin stays loyal to dwma and isn t killed. Arachne gorgon is killed by maka albarn and soul eater which leads to soul eating her soul and becoming a death scythe in the manga. Maka and soul vs jack the ripper or the 2nd fight with chrona which benefits from the creepy atmosphere and musical ambience.
Soul eater was both a hit manga and anime and yet the two diverged fairly dramatically towards the end. Some fans found a way to love both anyway while others couldn t help but be disappointed by what happened. Well at least soul eater is a manga which does have an ending which is by itself a good thing already if you consider how many other great shows go on forever and or take hiatus breaks of many months and sometimes years to come up with new chapters hunter x hunter d gray man berserk etc. I see the ending of soul eater more positively now.
In that sense it really is just like any other manga that got adapted into anime we re going to cover the ten biggest changes that soul eater faced when it got adapted into an anime. I especially liked the actual ending much more than the anime written ending. Considering the context of soul eater and all the factors that led to a slightly rushed ending i think that this was a great way to end things.
